Adriaan Buyserd is lawyer (advocaat) in BANNING’s practice group Competition Law & Public Procurement Law. He is a trusted advisor and experienced litigator in respect of cartel cases, public procurement and competition issues. Adriaan specialises in litigation. Many cases involve international contracts and claims (e.g. franchise, distribution, agency, public procurement and civil damages).
Adriaan read law and international public management at Maastricht University; Erasmus University Rotterdam (cum laude); University of Cambridge (cum laude); and King's College London (merit). Adriaan was first called to the bar in 2007. He worked approximately 5 years for top tier firm Houthoff Buruma in Rotterdam and Brussels, before joining BANNING.
Adriaan lectures and publishes regularly; is member of a number of professional associations; was appointed Honorary Member of the European Young Bar Association (a lobby group comprised of approximately 200,000 European lawyers); and was involved in the Global 21st Century Lawyer Project.
