Jan-Willem is a tax lawyer. He is mainly focusing on tax and social security aspects of employment relationships. He is specialized in drafting and implementing incentive and equity based compensation plans, assisting clients in tax audits and advising on expatriate / cross border taxation. He is also assisting in more general topics in the field of wage tax (including court proceedings).
Besides that Jan-Willem lectures at Leiden University and teaches (post-graduate) at VU Amsterdam (University).
He is a member of the Dutch Bar Assocation Amsterdam (NOvA) and the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB).
Jan-Willem has become a partner of BANNING on 1 July 2017. Before that, he was a partner at Baker & McKenzie.
