Esra van der Wolk joined BANNING’s EU & Competition practice group in September 2014, first as a legal assistant and later as a lawyer. Esra completed a Bachelor’s degree course in International and European Law and an English-language Master’s degree course in International Business Law (cum laude) at the University of Tilburg. She also studied in the USA for a semester at the University of Minnesota, focusing on courses in the fields of corporate law and financial law. Esra is fluent in English, partly as a result of that international experience. During her studies she worked for 2.5 years at Van Lanschot Bankiers and was editor-in-chief of SecJure, the journal of the legal faculty. She completed several traineeships in the fields of competition law, corporate law and financial law. She specialises in particular in European and Dutch competition law, and Dutch and international contract law.
Esra is a member of the Vereniging voor Mededingingsrecht (Dutch Competition Law Association).
