Marga van Gerwen studied Dutch law (graduating in private law) and tax law at the University of Tilburg. As part of her Dutch law studies, she majored in both agricultural law (University of Nijmegen) and agricultural economy.
Marga worked for more than nine years as a senior adviser at ABAB Accountants en Adviseurs, focusing on partnerships (professional partnerships, general partnerships and limited partnerships) and production-limiting regulations in the agricultural sector, also known as quota assignment.
Marga has worked as a lawyer since 1995, previously at Rottier advocaten and currently at BANNING, in its Property practice group. She focuses on advising and litigating in the field of public construction law, such as town and country planning, environmental law and enforcement. She also advises and litigates in the field of administrative tax law, in particular local government levies (administrative charges, user fees and municipal taxes).
