Marcus de Bont grew up in Germany and graduated from the University of Tilburg in 1992. He has been employed at BANNING since 2001, and was made partner in 2006.
Marcus has completed the Grotius specialist course in Employment law, and together with Mathijs van Logten heads the Employment Law practice group at BANNING. Marcus covers the entire scope of Employment Law. His cases range from individual dismissals through to the harmonisation of conditions of employment, employee representation, reorganisations, (collective) labour agreements and conditions, non-competition clauses, (statutory) directors and management agreements. He advises and litigates on behalf of businesses, institutions and individual executives.
Marcus also acts as sparring partner for boards of management and HR departments in strategy setting negotiations. He is part of the Board of Directors of BANNING, is a member of the Netherlands Association of Employment Law Attorneys, the Deutsch-Niederländische Rechtsanwaltsvereinigung (DNRV) and is an arbitrator for the KNVB (the Royal Netherlands Football Association).
