Samuel Wiegerinck completed a Bachelor’s degree course in Dutch law at the University of Nijmegen, followed by a Master’s degree course in law at the VU University Amsterdam at the end of 2015 in light of his passion for ICT. During his Master’s degree course he focused on the Internet, Intellectual Property and ICT and on Private Law. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the processing of personal data in mobile applications.
In addition to his studies, Samuel also worked as a volunteer for Stichting Rechtswinkel Venlo e.o., where he provided citizens of Venlo and environs with legal advice. After working as head of the technical department of a Dutch computer firm for many years, he decided to put his legal and technical knowledge to use in the legal profession.
Samuel was first employed as a legal assistant at BANNING. Since February 2017, he has been a member of the IP, IT & Privacy practice group as an attorney.
