M.L.A. (Marc) van Opstal
of counsel | mediator
Marc specialises in both family law, advising and litigating in matters of divorce, alimony, parenting plan, prenups and cohabitation contract, and in inheritance law, advising and litigating in matters of heirship, last will, living will, settling an estate and estate planning.
In his law practice Marc advises, among others, entrepreneurs (or their partner) and expats in matters of family law, inheritance law and estate planning. He feels challenged by stories of people who are stuck in a labyrinth of legal rules and lack of clarity or who got entangled in a personal crisis; In view of that, he can not wait to offer help and guide them towards clarity, overview and solutions and towards a sound basis of trust in their future. Reaching this goal drives Marc. His approach is solid. If the situation so permits, he first like to gather all necessary information, reflects and then he goes straight and decisive for our goal. In this way he goes down the most feasible route without any detours or wrong turns.
Clients describe Marc as a good listener, patient, empathic, professional and decisive, if required a persistent fighter. This qualifies him as a good mediator and an effective representative.
