A.R. (Agnes) van Wieren
attorney-at-law | mediator | partner
Agnes is a specialist in the field of divorce, maintenance, property settlement (including prenuptial agreements, cohabitation contracts, etc.), custody, care and access arrangements (including parenting plans) and everything related to these areas. She advises and – where necessary – conducts legal proceedings in disputes relating to the above. She is also regularly asked by clients, but also by fellow lawyers or financial advisers, to give a second opinion. She also gives advice, whether or not binding, in difficult and complex cases.
Many of her clients are entrepreneurs (or their partners), but also nonentrepreneurs know how to find her.
Her aim is to reach sustainable agreements in consultation with both sides’ interests. Not only the legal aspects, but also the person behind the divorce is important to her. The aim is a win-win situation for all parties involved. However, if necessary, she can also get stuck in a procedure and go straight for her goal.
Agnes also has years of experience on the ‘other side of the table’, first as a deputy judge and now as a deputy justice at the Court of Appeal. She also has years of experience as a much sought-after lecturer on the subject of maintenance, whereby lawyers, financial advisors, mediators and/or judges are her audience.
Clients describe Agnes as an involved lawyer, who is empathetic, listening, professional and thorough, but can also be direct and clear.

I love the process of searching for a solution of the conflict, with my client, in which de-escalation and a stable agreement are the most important factors.
