Helma joined Banning in 1986 (with a break of three years). She started working as a secretary on the Family & Inheritance Law section. Thereafter she worked several years on the litigation support department. She worked as a secretary on several departments but was always a part of the litigation support department.
Since 2014 Helma works as a legal secretary on the Insolvency & Restructuring section and since December 2019 she manages the litigation support department of Banning.
In the past Helma was also a member of the selection committee and she guided trainee lawyers.
