Privacy

Due to rapid technological development and the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) privacy is nowadays a hot topic. Data subjects such as customers and employees can rely on extensive personal data rights. For companies this leads to more obligations in order to secure the processing of personal data.

After a period of mainly providing information, the Dutch supervisory authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) has now stated to focus on enforcement. Meanwhile the first sanctions under the GDPR have been imposed.

The GDPR provides open standards which can lead to uncertainty when implementing the rules and principles into your company. Banning has a wide range of experience to provide companies guidance in order to comply with the GDPR. We assist (international) corporations with identifying their data flows, we negotiate with controllers / processors, we provide and implement data breach procedures, support with Data Protection Impact Assessments and provide any other privacy relatable document such as privacy statements, inter-company procedures, cookie notices, data processing agreements et cetera. All in order to fulfill the accountability principle and therefore being compliant to the GDPR.
